Vera Wang Princess Night

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I'm not a big beliver in celebrating V-Day in an over the top way, but I thought it would be nice to do a loosely themed post about something relevant; fragrance! Today at work we were visited by the Vivienne Westwood Cheeky Alice taxi and it kindly bought us a stash of Valentine's Day pressies.

I'm liking Cheeky Alice a lot more than Naughty Alice (it's a lot more fruity and suited to daytime wear - I found Naughty Alice a little overwhelmingly floral and musty). Not sure I'd necessarily try it, but I'm a big fan of Viv Westwood in general so I'm happy to add it to my collection.

Although it was absoslutely lovely to be suprised by a Westwood taxi, the scent I'm most keen to talk about today is the gorgeous Vera Wang Princess Night.

Vera Wang Princess Night - love the bottle!

I've worn Vera Wang Princess for the last few years as I love sweet, vanilla-based perfumes. I never thought I'd ever find a fragrance I liked as much as this one, but when I saw Vera Wang Princess Night in Debenhams (the glittery purple bottle drew me in!) I couldn't resist giving it a try. After the first spritz of the scent I wasn't overly impressed, it starts very fruity and a little more potently than its sister Princess. Over the course of the day Princess Night transforms into a stunning evening scent that is very much based in vanilla but a lot more sexily. I sprayed it on my coat when I decided to trial it, and after smelling the gorgeous scent for a few days (it has great longevity) I decided to buy it. My only regret is that I bought the 30ml version due to the cost and later found out it's limited edition! I think I'm going to have to invest in the larger size before they discontinue it. It's currently running on 10% off in Debenhams so I'd highly recommend you check it out soon.

UPDATE: I went back into my local Debenhams today and was told by the cashier Vera Wang AREN'T discontinuing the fragrance. I also invested in the Satiny Body Polish, pure love for this scent!
